Training log July- Dec 2012

I decided to start training for the 2013 AC100 after the experience of working the finish line at the 2012 AC100, and upon reflecting on Ken Hamada's advice to me, essentially, "do what you love to do while you still can (and quit making excuses)".

Here is how the first few months went-   before I switched to minimalist foot ware, changed my running style and sorted out how to train to avoid calf injuries.  I got  a fairly decent 40 mile per week base but was frequenty injured.

No mileage logged between March and July 23.

0n Jan. 2 2013 I  pinged right calf after 3 miles on  a flat neighborhood run.   At this point I stopped and re-evaluated everything about my running.
